Dr Martens in Central Saint Martins link for new collection and campaign

Published

Popular British fashion footwear brand Dr Martens has given five students starring roles to create bespoke designs for its new summer campaign.

Dr Martens linked with five Central Saint Martins students

Take a bow Francesca Lake, Xuesong Yang, Jad Jreissati, Lauren Patchett and Jude Hinojosa, all Masters Fashion (MA) students at “renowned, rebellious talent incubator” Central Saint Martins.

Dr Martens said it selected the students “to design and produce unique creations” as part of the brand’s ‘All Access Summer’ campaign.

They were hand-picked in conjunction with Central Saint Martins’ course director Fabio Piras to take part in the project and receive a financial bursary from Dr Martens “to support their visions as well as a donation to the course itself”.

The students faced the challenge of interpreting the theme of ‘All Access Summer’ to create an outfit that embodies “Dr Martens’ rebellious spirit”.

“Each student ideated, sketched, designed and produced their unique creations, captured by fashion education platform 1 Granary in a shoot to bring their visions to life,” said the company.

The resulting collection was officially launched Tuesday and is now available in-store and on the retailer’s website.
