Christopher Kane is active on all fronts
Christopher Kane is continuing its expansion with a second corner at Paris' Galeries Lafayette department store, and by diversifying into eyewear.
The Scottish designer, after a first corner dedicated to the men's collections, has created a new one focusing this time on women's ready-to-wear apparel and accessories, in the 'Luxury' area on the first floor of the Parisian department store in Boulevard Haussman.
The fashion label stated in a press release that the retail outlet extends over 26 m², and its outline is accented by neon lighting, one of the brand's signature design codes. It features a wall of accessories displayed in small alcoves, floating racks, and a monolith covered in mirror-effect steel acting as counter display for jewellery.
These two successive openings have allowed Christopher Kane to make its presence felt in the French capital, by showcasing the label's entire range.
And this is not all! The talented designer, whose creations blend materials, colours and prints in an unconventional way, has launched a new project: a unisex eyewear line produced by Kering Eyewear. The collection features two types of models, brightened by fluorescent details.
The fashion label, created in 2006, has notably strengthened after its acquisition in 2013 by the Kering group, which now owns a 51% stake. The brand extended its men's and women's ready-to-wear range with a leather goods line launched last year, and has now added eyewear.
Christopher Kane is currently distributed through some 130-140 multi-brand stores worldwide, as well as in its flagship store on London's Mount Street.
