Three years after Nicolas Dreyfus joined Frame as CEO, the Los Angeles-based brand, founded by Jens Grede and Erik Torstensson, is calling upon Chemena Kamali as the label's new creative consultant.

Kamali arrived in Los Angeles just a few months ago. The designer was previously in Paris, where she held the role of design director for Saint Laurent's women's ready-to-wear shows since 2016. Prior to that, she held a similar role at Lanvin, alongside Lucio Finale, who took over from Alber Elbaz for the AW16 collection and also spent three years at Chloé.

Frame, which mixes French and casual Californian style with a 70s vibe, was long known for its made-in-L.A, luxury denim, before it expanded its collections more widely. Among others, Karlie Kloss and Emma Stone are loyal customers of the Californian fashion label.

Frame launched its second capsule collection with the Ritz Paris last September and has made a name for itself as an established luxury fashion label.

The brand has 15 stores in total, of which 14 are in the United States, including L.A and New York and one in London.
