Champion links with Queen for capsule launch

The tie-up’s in the name. ‘We Are The Champions’ title and lyric is behind a collaboration between sportswear brand Champion and rock band Queen.

November 2 will see the exclusive Champion launch of a limited-edition collection of unisex wardrobe staples directly inspired by Queen. It showcases original images and song titles from Queen’s history.

The collection comprises Reverse Weave sweatshirts and hoodies, as well as Athletic Jersey T-shirts featuring the ‘We are the Champions’ song title and other original imagery in a variety of styles and colourways. Prices range from £40 to £85.

All products will be available at the recently opened ‘Queen - The Greatest’ pop-up store on London’s Carnaby Street. Open until January 2022, the store was launched to celebrate the band’s five decades of music, featuring memorabilia and related merchandise.

It comes as Carnaby Street’s music links intensify following a long history of links to pop and rock bands and the opening of the Rolling Stones store on the street.
