The Bijorhca fine and fashion jewellery trade show’s next edition, scheduled from 20th to 23rd January 2017 at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre in Paris, will introduce two partnerships designed to offer visibility to young, emerging designers.

The Bijorhca trade show - Bijorhca Paris

The first project will allow students from the style, modelling and textile design sections of the LISAA school (Paris) and the International School of Design (Cologne) to create steel jewellery prototypes.

At the end of November, Bijorhca Paris will present twelve student team projects on its social media accounts, and the show’s community will have the opportunity to vote for them. The votes will have a 50% weight on the final result of the competition. Come January, the student projects will be exhibited at Bijorhca, in the Lounge area, where visitors too will be invited to vote. The competition winner will be announced during the show.

For its second partnership, Bijorhca Paris has joined forces with creative collaboration platform Chall’angel, and will select three young fashion jewellery designers who will be offered the opportunity to gain exposure with a targeted audience.

The selection panel will consist of industry professionals: Stella Cadente, fashion designer and creative director, Aude Leperre, the Bijorhca show's new director, who took over from Richard Martin, and Jean-Louis Niedermaier, Vice-President of France's fine and fashion jewellery industry association, BOCI.

Entrants will have until 16th November to post pictures of their creations on the Chall’angel website. The general public will vote for its favourite designer, while the jury panel will choose three winners, who will be offered exhibition space at the show.
