Aubade appoints Martina Brown Deputy Managing Director

Published
Dec 4, 2015

Aubade is looking to accelerate its international development. To support this new ambition, the French lingerie label, owned by the Calida group, has appointed Martina Brown (ex-Wolford), Deputy Managing Director, a newly created position.

Martina Brown, the new Deputy Managing Director

Martina Brown's mission will thus be to expand the brand internationally by adapting its play-with words advertising campaign in France to other markets, or even creating market-specific campaigns, as well as the development of products that could support the development of exports.

A graduate of the Sorbonne in Paris, the University of Ankara in Istanbul and the University of Tübingen in Germany, she began her career at Villeroy & Boch as International Marketing Manager (4 years) before joining Falke from 1999 to 2005 as Head of International Marketing.

Before joining Aubade she also spent 10 years at Wolford as International Marketing Executive and Head of Product Management. The stepping stone that convinced Aubade, which generates 69% of its revenue in France, of the pertinence of her international profile...

Backed by this new appointment, the lingerie label is now looking to achieve double-digit growth abroad by 2018 and, eventually, have its exports represent 50% of its revenue.

"We have real potential in wholesale since there ane many markets outside of France where we are not yet or hardly present," explains Martina Brown. "My task will be to rethink our offer to make it more adaptable and then to attract these markets by developing our distribution network, notably in the United States and Northern Europe."
