Liu Jo is shaking up its global marketing efforts. The Italian denim brand has announced the appointment of Anna Baschirotto as its new marketing director.

Baschirotto will lead the marketing and communication activities of the brand, which she joined on 2 May. She will report directly to Liu Jo president Marco Marchi.

According to a press release, Baschirotto has 20 years’ experience in the luxury fashion sector, notably at Valentino.

The brand said the executive appointment aligns with its vision as it prepares for a market flotation. The new head of marketing will be responsible for elevating the brand’s image and consolidating its awareness and reputation in key international markets.

“I am very happy to join Liu Jo's team at such a challenging time for the premium sector. I will give my all to contribute to a brand story that is already so significant and innovative,” said Anna Baschirotto.

Founded in 1995 in Carpi, Modena, Liu Jo ended 2017 with a growing Ebitda and revenues of 328 million euros, compared to the 305 million euros it reported in 2016. It has nearly doubled its results over the last decade.

The company has a presence in 50 countries across three continents, including Europe, Africa and Asia through a distribution network that includes 350 monobrand stores and 5,000 multibrand locations.
