Adidas Originals, Size? and Colnago collaborate on shoe collection

Published
Dec 19, 2018

Sportswear brand Adidas Originals, shoe retailer Size? and Italian bike company Colnago have joined forces to launch two new shoe styles that celebrate their shared drive for innovation.

The silhouettes, available via the Size? previews app and in all Size? stores on 29 December, are inspired by vintage styles from the '80s and '70s and incorporate elements from Colnago bikes.

Finished in Pellegrini Italian leather, the Trimm Star pays homage to the tyres of a '70s racing bike with an outsole made from recycled rubber, while a glossy metallic finish on the stripes and heel tab takes its cue from Colnago’s Saronni bikes.

Retailing at £120, the Kamanda style will be the pricier option (the Trimm Star will be priced at £90), with a transparent outsole to show the carbon fibre effect reflecting the modern Colnago bikes. The Kamada features an premium suede upper, also from Italy.

Adidas, founded in 1949 as a shoe maker and later evolved into a specialist of athletic shoes, and Colnago said both brands relied on product innovation and endorsements with up-and-coming athletes to gain global success.
