House of Holland Show - Women's Collection Autumn/Winter 2018/19 in London (with interview)

Designer: Henry HollandInspiration: the English designer has just celebrates 10 years of his label and for this new collection entitled ‘grow up’, he proposes 26 looks composed of reinterpreted basics, coming from his own archives. Collection: we find the codes of the house: denim, a military touch, tailoring and of course, long dresses in silk and wool. Here the designer adds a sportswear touch notably through drawstrings and mountain boots. Several jackets made from two materials, with zips at the sleeves and sharp edges. Varsity jackets are worn loosely and come in leather, as do the puffers with oversized collars. To note: the new logo appearing on sweat-shirts and accessories like the scarves and caps.Interview with Henry Holland: I’ve grown up the way that the collection was put together, I feel like I’ve grown up, I feel like our customers have grown up, and it was more just a commentary on the way that we’ve put the collection together and who we’ve created it for and it’s for those customers and those women that wear House of Holland and buy the brand and it’s a collection for them and the fact that we’ve grown up with them and we want them to be a part of our journey going forward. We took a step back and we actually looked at the pieces we were creating and making sure that these were really key wardrobe staples that women wear day in day out, dresses and tailoring, key pieces from a women’s wardrobe and we turned them into the House of Holland interpretation of that. So we developed a new logo, for going forward from this collection and so we wanted to just use that on some of the key pieces like the footwear and the bags and the hats.Music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information)
