Vince will create a home collection

This fall, the clothing brand will translate its minimal aesthetic and emphasis on neutral tones and soft fabrics into a home collection.

Vince has developed a following for its cashmere sweaters and soft knits, and now the brand is expanding its reach into home décor. Its first line for Vince Home will be available this October and include a mix of blankets and pillows in the brand’s signature neutral tones and quality fabrics.

Vince creative director Caroline Belhumeur calls the Vince Home collection a “natural next step” for the company. “This collection will allow us to touch upon various facets of our customers’ lives, incorporating Vince’s casual, yet sophisticated, approach to luxury beyond what they wear and into many different aspects of their day,” she said in a press release.

The Vince Home line will be an offshoot of Vince Collective, the brand’s jewelry, ceramics and art sector. Its first collection will be characteristically minimal, with the pillows and blankets available in just four textures, cable knit, fringe, seed stick and raw edge, rendered in one of four colors, off-white, heather taupe, coastal and charcoal. The Vince Home collection will launch in October, with prices ranging from $275 to $695.

In expanding into the home decor sphere, Vince joins designers such as Gucci, Monique Lhuillier and Anna Sui who have recently launched home lines either independently or in collaboration with other companies.

In June, Vince released its first quarter results, showing a 14.2% drop in net sales to $58 million.
