French jewelry house Boucheron, which celebrates its 160th anniversary this year, has unveiled a selection of new jewelry and high-jewelry creations for its "Plume de Paon" collection, inspired by peacock feathers. In fact, this graceful plume inspired Frédéric Boucheron to create one of the French jeweler's emblematic pieces, the famous "Point d'Interrogation" ('question mark') necklace.

Many of Boucheron's creations draw inspiration from the beauty and riches of nature. Animals and, in particular, the peacock and its feathers, have been at the heart of the French jeweler's identity and heritage for almost 160 years. Indeed, in 1883, Frédéric Boucheron created his famous "Point d'Interrogation" necklace, one of the jewelry house's iconic pieces, reinterpreted in various ways over the years.

Now, for 2018, Boucheron has unveiled a new set of "Plume de Paon" jewelry and high-jewelry creations, based on the ethereal and graceful design of the original piece, updated with a contemporary touch.

The collection's new white gold and rose gold creations offer a refined and graceful take on the stunning feather. They come set with or paved with a multitude of diamonds, as well as white topaz and lapis lazuli.

With the new designs, Boucheron channels femininity and sensuality, with white gold and diamond ear clips that sit perfectly on the earlobe, or rings that run delicately over two fingers.

The "Plume de Paon" line comprises several rings -- with large and small models in white gold or rose gold, set with a rose-cut diamond and paved with diamonds -- plus a white gold pendant set with a rose-cut diamond and paved with diamonds, and white gold ear clips set with two rose-cut diamonds and paved with diamonds. A long sautoir necklace, in two versions, with white topaz or lapis lazuli, completes the collection.
