Fashion Month drew to a close in Paris earlier this week, but Opening Ceremony saved the best for last with an ambitious presentation dubbed "The Happiest Show on Earth" on Wednesday.

The brand took over Disneyland's California theme park location for its Spring 2018 fashion show, which featured a collaboration with multimedia powerhouse Disney.

In honor of the cartoon icon Mickey Mouse's 90th birthday, which falls this year, the collection and show marked the launch of "Mickey the True Original," a global celebration of the cartoon's heritage and global status. The campaign will span fashion collaborations with other brands and feature content and events that embrace Mickey's impact on the past, present and future.

The collaboration nods to Opening Ceremony founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim's Californian roots, as well as the "lineage of fantasy and imagination" shared by the two brands. The collection covers menswear, womenswear and unisex pieces, putting a luxe spin on classic Disney iconography in the form of unconventional prints that decorate silk dresses, taffeta pants and poplin gowns. There are nods to the cartoon's sense of style in a jacquard skirt embellished with black-and-white-sequins and poplin dresses referencing his famous ears, while the menswear and unisex lines include nylon tracksuits and twill carpenter pants.

Opening Ceremony is not the first major label to partner up with Disney, whose previous fashion collaborations have ranged from Rag and Bone to Gucci. A selection of T-shirts, sweatpants, hoodies from the collection are now available, with the full ready-to-wear line set for release in November 2018.
