Omega launches first-ever e-commerce site in the US

Swiss watch brand Omega has ventured into the digital arena with the launch of its first-ever online sales platform in the US.

The new Omega online shop launched exclusively in the US - Omega

The new website offers Omega’s most famous collections, including the Speedmaster, Seamaster, Constellation and De Ville, as well as the new Seamaster Planet Ocean “Michael Phelps” watch that will be sold exclusively online for US customers.

“By offering online sales in the United States, Omega can now reach fans in every corner of the country,” said Omega President and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann. “No one is restricted geographically, which will make us much more accessible. We also recognise that e-commerce is growing rapidly in the luxury sector and many of today’s consumers use it as their primary way to shop.”

The iconic watch brand previously relied solely on its physical boutiques to sell its collections. The expansion to e-commerce makes the brand more available in the US, and could also gain customers who rely on websites like Overstock, timepiece consignment services and secondary marketplaces like TrueFacet, Eleven James and StockX.

Though Omega launched its first-ever e-commerce website in the US, the watch brand expects to launch online shops in more countries in the near future.
