The poetic vision of two highly talented contemporary artists will feature once again in Moncler's advertising campaign for the Autumn/Winter 2017-18 season: Chinese artist Liu Bolin, master of the invisible, joins forces with top US photographer Annie Leibovitz, as they did for the Italian sportswear label’s previous campaign.

The poetic vision of Chinese artist Liu Bolin and the photography of Annie Leibovitz together for Moncler

Liu Bolin, an outstanding performance artist, creates a surreal, fantastic atmosphere, using paint to match his background, camouflaging himself within it. The outline of the artist's body morphs into nature, blending in with a spectacular, iced-over Nordic winter landscape, a clear reference to Moncler's down-jacket DNA.

The location is Iceland, its ice formations reflected on freezing, luminous water, in a metallic palette ranging from an array of greys to lead, anthracite and evanescent blue. Icebergs like giant sculptures and vast expanses of snow feature prominently in the pictures by Annie Leibovitz, the acclaimed US portrait photographer, known for her pictures of major musicians, from John Lennon to the Rolling Stones and Joan Armatrading.
