Les Petites... opens capital and expands internationally

Published

In 2011, Les Petites... is strengthening its network. The stylish brand, created by Isabelle Benichou, has embarked on a development project which entails around 30 store openings in France over the next 2 years, as well as an international deployment. Consisting of 45 points of sale, the company is currently in affiliation with only 3 websites and its development is mainly funded by its own resources.

With store openings planned for the Toulouse, Reims and La Rochelle regions in France, Les Petites... is also looking beyond horizons. “We are going to develop our partnerships with the main goal to open 12 boutiques abroad, explains Richard Benichou, head of development. We are also about to conclude the opening of our capital to investment funds, which will allow us to accelerate our expansion in Europe. The new shareholder will nonetheless remain as a minority one, since we wish to keep control of the development plan and manage the brand’s image”. Following the example of other Parisian brands, Les Petites... is thus also opening its capital; effective from end of March, beginning of April 2011. In Europe, the brand expects to open around 15 boutiques over the next two years across England, Belgium and Greece (where it already exists), but also Switzerland and Spain (where it will be arriving for the first time for the Winter 2011 season).

At the same time, Les Petites... also has plans to establish itself in China. To do so, the Parisian brand has signed a contract with a local partner in order to open around 30 new points of sale at high-end luxury stores, with the first launch planned for April. According to its 2010 annual report, Les Petites... had a turnover of 28 million euros, compared to 21 million from the year before.
