Kat Von D to expand line to brow products

Published
Jul 15, 2017

In an Instagram post, the tattoo artist and makeup entrepreneur revealed she would be adding brow products to her makeup line. Kat Von D first started her makeup brand in 2008 with Sephora.

In an Instagram image posted on July 12, Kat Von D announced she was in the process of introducing a new line of brow products to her makeup brand. “Working on packaging artwork for @katvondbeauty's upcoming brow collection launch.... people better get ready to change their brow world!!” she wrote in the post.

Von D did not indicate when the brow products would launch or what the new collection would entail, but did include an image of sketches for the artwork for the products’ packaging, which include the names Brow Struck, Shape Brow and Signature Brown. Von D’s namesake makeup line is known for its long-lasting, full-coverage products such as its liquid lipsticks and foundations.

The trend for fuller, thicker brows has showed no signs of slowing down. At the recent Paris couture shows, labels such as Proenza Schouler, Christian Dior and Monique Lhuillier all sent models down the runway sporting full and sometimes bushy brows. YouTube and Instagram beauty gurus have also set a trend for full, sharply defined brows.
