K-beauty brand Memebox to collaborate with Sephora on new US beauty brand

After previously pulling out of the US market, Memebox announced on Wednesday an exclusive partnership with Sephora. In addition to the partnership, the brand is rolling out an ambassador program and a relaunched e-commerce site.

San Francisco-based Memebox has formed an exclusive partnership with Sephora who will launch a new color cosmetics brand this fall. According to Memebox, the brand will utilize Sephora's experiential beauty channels and omni-retail approach to connect with Memebox's strong digital community.

The K-beauty color cosmetics brand will sell online as well as at select Sephora locations. This is the first time Memebox will be sold directly to US consumers after the company pulled out of the US market last year.

In addition to the Sephora partnership, Memebox has launched an ambassador program called Inside Access. The program will allow select influencers to build their own brands on the Memebox platform and drive personal revenue. Features offered to influencers include the chance to interact and shop with fans, curated lists of recommended products, and data insight on post performance.

"The traditional approach to beauty today is outdated and often dictated to us by a small group of people in a corporate office. We believe the best in beauty is created when we listen to what the community wants and empower them to share their opinion and become the trendsetters,” said Dino Ha, co-founder and CEO of Memebox, in a release.

Memebox is also expanding its e-commerce assortment beginning July 2018. US consumers will be able to shop product lines that were not previously available in the country including Memebox's private labels I Dew Care, Nooni and Pony Effect.

The new Sephora line will launch Fall 2018.
