The Hong Clock & Watch Fair, an annual Asian horlogerie tradeshow, will run its 2017 edition from September 5 to 9, with attendance numbers expected to be around 20,000 people.

The fair will this year include theSalon de TE, a platform for designer and original brands - HKTDC

More than 810 exhibitors from 27 countries are slated to attend the tradeshow, which takes place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre once again this year, according to organisers the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).

The fair will this year include the Salon de TE, a platform for designer and original brands, and will be sectioned into five main areas: World Brand Piazza (showcasing limited-edition pieces and rare timepieces from brands such as Breguet, Bvlgari, Chopard, Piaget and Zenith); Chic & Trendy (for modern and trending watch labels); Craft Treasure (for mechanical and jewellery watches); Renaissance Moment (for classic and elegant European brands); and Wearable Tech (for innovative and smart watches).

Moreover, product zones will include Pageant for Eternity, OEM Smart Watches, Complete Watches, Clocks, Machinery & Equipment, Packaging, Parts & Components and Trade Services.

The HKTDC will also partner with the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association and the Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries for the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition, which will pick a watch design winner from over 206 submissions.

Over the five day industry event, other fair activities will include watch parades, seminars, buyer forums and networking events.
