Golden Goose Deluxe Brand has launched a David Bowie-inspired limited edition version of its iconic 'Superstar' sneaker. It is in black canvas with a silver star, and heels featuring the artist's favourite colours: glossy red for the right shoe and glossy blue for the left one. The limited edition model will go on sale from January 2017 on the label's e-shop and at its mono-brand stores, priced at €460.

Golden Goose Deluxe Brand is closely linked with the British musician. For the Spring/Summer 2017 sales campaign, the label's showroom in Via San Martino, Milan, exhibited eight new David Bowie portraits by photography master Masayoshi Sukita, a close friend of Bowie's for over forty years.

Other Sukita pictures will be featured in the popular 'David Bowie Is' exhibition, curated by London's Victoria & Albert Museum. After the UK capital, the exhibition will show in Chicago, São Paulo, Toronto, Paris, Berlin, Melbourne, Groningen (Holland), Bologna (Italy) and Tokyo.

As the title suggests, the exhibition showcases Bowie as a wide-ranging, multi-dimensional artist, both an inspiration and a catalyst for major movements in contemporary art, design, theatre and culture.

Golden Goose Deluxe Brand is renowned for its star-emblazoned sneakers. In May 2015 the label was acquired by the Belgian investment fund Ergon Capital Partners III, led by baron Albert Frère. It is distributed via three showrooms (in Milan, Paris and New York) and in about 600 premium multi-brand stores worldwide. The label also operates 8 mono-brand stores (in Milan, Amsterdam, Paris, New York, Beirut, Tokyo, Seoul and London), and several retail corners in France, South Korea and Japan.
