For Spring/Summer 2018, Emilio Pucci is to launch a new line for girls aged 0 to 14 years, and will present the collection at the Italian childrenswear tradeshow Pitt Bimbo from June 22 to 24.

Designs from the Pucci womenswear line - Pucci

For the collection, the LVMH-owned Florentine fashion house has signed a licensing agreement with Italian childrenswear specialist Simonetta, who will handle the design, manufacturing and distribution. The company, founded in the 1950s, develops, produces and distributes childrenswear for its own labels Simonetta and Simonetta Mini, but also under licence for Aston Martin and for Lanvin - the first collection for the latter will be released this spring - and also manufactures for Fendi.

"We are enthusiastic to announce this partnership with Simonetta, a company with which we share values, such as quality, passion for creativity and sophisticated elegance which represent the greatest expression of the Italian spirit. Pucci has always been synonymous with color, 'joie de vivre,' energy and refinement. This collection represents a natural extension of our universe," said  Emilio Pucci CEO, Mauro Grimaldi, in a statement.

The first Emilio Pucci childrenswear collection will be available in Emilio Pucci boutiques (of which there are approximately 50 around the world), on the label's website and in selected stores.

As reported by FashionNetwork.com at the beginning of May, Emilio Pucci has recently called in Josephus Thimister as a consultant to take the reins during the interim period following the departure of creative director Massimo Giorgetti. The designer was recruited in 2015 to refresh the label and left the brand in early April.
