Converse and Missoni team up for another collaboration

Converse has tapped Missoni yet again for a limited-edition sneaker. This shoe will be titled the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star x Missoni “Hiker”. This shoe was first debuted on Missoni’s Fall/Winter 2016 show in January.

The sneaker combines the Italian luxury house’s signature colorful print with Converse’s Chuck Taylor All Star 1970s silhouette. The shoe will be available in two different color schemes – olive and black, and black and blue. 

In a change from the last several Converse x Missoni collaborations, this shoe resembles a cross between a classic Converse sneaker and a traditional hiking boot, using darker patterns, as well as a few signature details of hiking boots, like braided laces and gunmetal grommets. The shoe will also feature a black sole, whereas the last few collaborations between the two brands used white soles.

Missoni and Converse have a long history of collaborations, the first dating back to 2009, followed by nearly annual editions ever since. 

The shoe is now available to purchase online at Converse.com, at select Converse retailers, and at select Missoni retailers. The shoe will retail for $200.
