Cannes 2017: Wednesday's standout red-carpet looks

Day 7 marked another memorable chapter of the French Riviera's annual gown-a-thon. The world's most fashionable movie stars showed their love of European couture labels including Giorgio Armani Privé, regaling photographers with yet more lavish designs.

French actress Marion Cotillard opts for some sparkle, wearing a waist-cinching design by Armani Privé.

Mistress of Ceremonies Monica Bellucci once again proved her fashion credentials as she stepped out in a glitzy fish-tail dress with strategically placed tie detailing at the bust and hips to show off her perfect hourglass figure.

Academy Award-winning actress Marion Cotillard stunned in another low-cut black number. Cotillard stuck to what she knows works well for her figure with another strapless, thigh-revealing column dress, this time with a little sparkle, courtesy of Armani Privé.

Fellow French actress Juliette Binoche also chose to step out in Armani Privé, in a chic icy blue slip dress.
Naomi Campbell showed up in Atelier Versace, alongside Nicole Kidman, who added her name to the list of A-listers to don Armani Privé on Wednesday.

The British model stole the show in a black and nude crystal-embellished gown, featuring a feather train, while her Australian red-carpet buddy channeled ethnic chic with a full-embroidered look.

Like Sara Sampaio and Mary J. Blige earlier this week, French film star and model Laetitia Casta channeled the on-going trend for daringly sheer dresses. Laetitia looked sensational in a black Christian Dior dress.

Also showing lots of skin, actress Charlize Theron's head-turning lace and tulle Christian Dior gown was another firm red-carpet hit.
