Amsterdam Airport Schiphol opens renovated Holland Boulevard

Schiphol Airport has presented its renovated Holland Boulevard. The 5,000 m2 area is designed for travellers unable to leave the airport, but interested in a taste of Dutch culture. With the renovation, the Holland Boulevard hopes to increase the ease of traveling.

The 24-hour shopping and entertainment space features a number of Dutch attractions, such as a Rijksmuseum annex to introduce travelers to renowned Dutch paintings of the 17th century. Shopping is also available at retailers including Rituals, Swatch and House of Tulips in addition to food and drink options.

Schiphol Airport opened in 1920 and, today, is the third busiest European airport. The airport set a record on 31 July for one-day passenger traffic, with more than 230,000 people passing through the airport. Schiphol houses over 500 companies. In 2016, the airport handled more than 63 million passengers.
