Online retail giant Amazon will launch in Colombia in July, after more than six months of preparations. The company is also gearing up to enter the Argentinian market in April.

The company led by Jeff Bezos said its physical infrastructure, including the logistics system and e-commerce site is expected to be ready in July.

Amazon has recently added Colombian brands including Leonisa and OffCorss to its list of suppliers, expanding the links it has with the South American country. In addition to helping Colombian brands sell their products on the platform, Amazon’s arrival in Colombia will mean faster delivery and better customer service for local consumers.

Over the last years, Amazon has been expanding its footprint in Latin America, where it currently operates in Mexico and Brazil. The e-commerce company will add Argentina and Colombia this year, and has said Peru could be next.

Amazon had sales of $177.9 billion in 2017, representing an increase of 31% compared to 2016. The company made a net profit of $3 billion.
